Hello everyone! It's been a few months since the last newsletter, so I thought I'd give an update on the current state of Crash Landing.

If you didn’t already know…
Crash Landing is no longer a visual novel!

Since around November I've been working with an actively growing team of talent to create Crash Landing // Pilot. Last week, A teaser for the first scene was released on YouTube and Newgrounds. Two episodes have already been funded.

Visual Novel?
Unfortunately, I've decided to scrap the concept of a visual novel. I never really wanted it to be a visual novel in the first place, but at the time, it was all I could afford. Luckily, I struck an incredible deal with an animator I'm friends with. Now, I can finally make the project I've been conceptualizing and creating for almost 2 years.

Progress?
The pilot is around 35% completed. The script is fully written as well as fully voiced. Storyboards are nearly complete. Music has just begun.

When's it releasing?
Currently, we have no planned release date, although it will be released this year.

Episode 2?
Episode 2 is in the works as well. It is fully written, and some voice lines are completed. So far, that is all.

More news regarding the pilot will be out soon.

Hello friends! Welcome to the Act 1 October newsletter!

Crash Landing is now a visual novel using Ren’Py. (not anymore)

Finally, Let's talk about progress!

Writing - A lot more has been written. I can confirm that there have been 5 scenes written, with a very important one in the works right now.
Music - I have an incredible composer who's made some really great tracks that will play in the background of the game.
Art - While I have a small team of 2 concept artists, no full art for the game has been made. This is the last step we will take in development.
Coding - Coding is done entirely by me, and in my own personal opinion, the game is looking really good.
Voice Acting - Most of the characters, including side characters and villains, have been cast. The voice acting stage has practically just begun, but one voice actor has recorded all of their current written lines.
